I absolutely DO NOT recommend Samick instruments. They are often higher or lower than the fretboard, and the routings are done far too big, resulting in extreme amounts of filler around the inlays. The fretboard inlays are very poorly done. The top on my student's Les Paul copy isn't even actually a top. On one guitar, the E string got caught on the end of a fret!!


ALL of the wood on all of the Samicks I've seen has been real bad. A few months later, I looked at a few in a music store and confirned my general thoughts.Īlthough the Samick factory is the biggest in the world, it appears to me that they use the bad wood that they can't use on other companies' orders.
